Muslim Hub Weekly #8 - Product roundup

👋🏼 Muslim Hub Weekly

Salam friends,

As we step into the second stage of Ramadan, let’s take advantage of this occasion by making every day (and night) count. It reminds me of a hadith that hits close to home during Ramadan: "The most beloved deeds to Allah are those that are consistent, even if they are small" [Bukhari and Muslim].

What is one small but sustainable action you can introduce this Ramadan to carry forward?

To help you with this, we’ve created the Ramadan Collection on Muslim Hub. Everything from apps that assist in learning the Quran, to building better prayer routines — we hope this curation can help us all make the most of this month, إِنْ شَاءَ ٱللَّٰهُ

Product highlight

The Clear Quran - Audiobook

As Ramadan invites deeper reflection and connection, "The Clear Quran Audiobook" App offers a transformative way to engage with the Quran during this holy month. Dr. Mustafa Khattab's acclaimed translation is brought to life with immersive narration and soundscapes, featuring scholars like Dr. Omar Suleiman and Ustadha Yasmin Mogahed. Endorsed by Al-Azhar, it's the perfect companion for an enriching Ramadan experience, blending clarity, eloquence, and innovative storytelling to deepen your Quranic journey.

New book

The Islamic Secular

Speaking of books, ‘The Islamic Secular’ has been making the rounds on Twitter, sparking interest from all types of Muslim thinkers. In the book, Dr. Sherman Jackson makes a distinction between the concept of ‘secular’ in Islam & its Western conception. This leads to a generative approach on how pursuits such as science, and particularly statecraft may operate outside the purview of the shari’ah, without being un-Islamic. This is a great summary of the book, and should you be interested, there’s a Twitter Space to discuss the book’s main ideas on Saturday afternoon (2PM EST).

Abu Huraira reported that The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“Whoever observes fasts during the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping to attain Allah's rewards, then all his past sins will be forgiven.”
