Muslim Hub Weekly #9

👋🏼 Muslim Hub Weekly

Salam friends,

I hope your Ramadan has been going well - may Allah ﷻ accept our fasts & our deeds. Personally, I feel like I haven’t made the most of this month, but I’m intent on finishing strong by increasing my ibadat in these last 13 nights.(13 nights — can you believe that!)

Based on that, this newsletter is going to be centered around our most important ibdadah: prayer.

In this newsletter 🌙

  • prayer calendar apps 🙏🏻

  • a brand new product 🕌

  • Giveaway and a chance to win $10,000 ✨

Integrate prayer into your calendar

Ever find yourself hurrying to squeeze dhuhr in between meetings?

This is why I’ve been trying these two apps: PrayerCal & Fajr Calendar - both of them import local prayer times into your calendar, ensuring that there is always time blocked off for salah in your calendar. They’re both quite similar, in their functionality and intuitiveness — so do let me know which one you prefer!

Abu ‘Amr Shaibani reported that a man asked The Messenger of Allah ﷺ: which of the deeds are liked by Allah ﷻ ? The Prophet ﷺ responded: Prayer at its proper time.”

He asked “what next” — He ﷺ replied: “Then goodness to the parents”. He again asked “what next” — He ﷺ replied “then jihad in the cause of Allah ﷻ”.

Minara

I’m not a big fan of athan clocks - they usually don’t look the greatest & more importantly, I have all the functionalities they offer on my phone.

Over the weekend someone sent  me the newly released Minara, and I’m starting to change my mind.  More than just an athan clock, it also plays the Quran through its companion app, and even has a built-in scent diffuser (Oud ftw).

✨ Giveaway ✨

Our giveaway with LaunchGood is live on Instagram - and for a like, follow & tag you’ll be eligible to win some great prizes! I personally picked the prizes, from great vendors such as Tuniq, Sitti Soap & Noor Kids — so trust me when I say you don’t want to miss out on this.

This one requires more work, but Chris (founder & CEO of LaunchGood) has put up a $10,000 prize for whoever can increase LaunchGood’s tips. If you suggest copy that increases LaunchGood’s total average tips to 5%, over 1 week, the prize is yours (unless you live in North Korea, but in that case you probably have some bigger problems).
